At designcode our philosophy is simple: Do great design, Develop useful web applications, and make sure the two work together as a seamless whole.
At designcode, we adhere to four principles in everything we design.
Unique... We believe the message should drive the design process. Every website we build is unique and designed to fit the client's needs. We don't use templates and we're not afraid to think "outside the box".
Simple... We believe in keeping design simple. A message is delivered with greater force when it is delivered simply, directly.
Focused... We believe in keeping design focused. Nothing is more frustrating to a viewer than to have to wade through pages upon pages of irrelevent design elements and content to find the information they need. The viewer should be able to find the information they want quickly.
Consistent... We believe in keeping design consistent. We've worked with communications and design firms in the past, and we're not interested in reinventing a brand. We may some suggestions about how to use an established corporate image on-line, but we will not stray from the design principles that have already been established.
Great design starts from the ground up. Nothing comes boxed or templated. At designcode, we believe the design should fit the client, and not the other way around. By working this way, every project that leaves our studio is unique.
Great design also starts with a focused message. We think a lot about what a website needs to "say". Keeping a message focused through design is essential, and too often overshadowed by "flash" and design elements which play no real role in the communication.
